NSW Criminal Sentencing Reform

As of September 24, 2018 sweeping criminal sentencing reforms were rolled out in NSW.

What is affected: Section 10 Bonds, Section 9 Bonds, Community Service Orders, Suspended Gaol Sentences, Home Detention

In almost all areas they have simply been replaced with similar sentencing alternatives such as the conditional release order (CRO), the new replacement for a section 10 bond

Suspended sentences are the only area that has been completely abolished with these reforms with
Where the changes apply: District and local court level indictable offences
Exclusions: Serious offences; sex offences, murder and terror convictions
